If that doesn't work, try putting absolute value bars around the x's in the ln's.

I remember that layout... Is that webassign? That thing plagued me for like 2 years. I have definitely used it before though for Calc I-III. It was always such a pain in the ass because if you don't input it exactly how it wanted you would get it marked as wrong. I haven't even looked at the problem but you are probably right and there is just something that webassign is caught up on that is causing it to flag as incorrect. Try to rearrange the terms or something.
